dribbling with History

In 1949, a group of women and men decided to give history a dribble and create the first women's soccer team, organized with the official rules. "de-Tacón a-Taco" is his story.

“dribbling with History” is the documentary film that takes us through the fabulous history of the first women's soccer team in Costa Rica.

Year 1949. In the thoughts and desires of several people, the idea of forming a women's soccer team was developed, an unacceptable fact for most Costa Ricans, who define soccer as a sport that should be practiced by men.

Overcoming multiple social and personal difficulties, our protagonists, without intending to, showed the rest of the Costa Ricans that women could develop skills that were considered typical of men.

The voice of the protagonists of this story, who suffered and lived that epic, will be the common thread of this fabulous story.

“dribbling with History” uses the documentary's own resources in an interesting mixture of interviews with the protagonists, film material and photographs of the time, together with journalists, historians and personalities, who take us for 70 years of those stories that we all must know and treasure.
